An optional mode allows you to preview the next shape that will fall. Welltris features three difficulty levels, each containing five speeds. Play continues as long as there is available empty space on the floor and the pieces keep falling. The list below includes both licensed uses and uses by developers who have also made an official Tetris game. When you form an unbroken line (either horizontal or vertical) at the bottom of the well with the various pieces, the line disappears, freeing up room for more game pieces. Some games used the Tetris name or its -tris suffix in their titles, despite their distinctively different gameplay.
As each piece falls to the floor, you must make it fit among the pieces already at the bottom of the well. Game pieces are geometric shapes made up of two, three, four or five squares. The goal is to arrange the puzzle pieces quickly and accurately on the bottom grid. Gameplay is from a 3D perspective, as if you are peering down a 4-sided well with grid-like walls and a floor. Welltris, inspired by the classic Tetris, is a puzzle game in which you rotate, arrange, and otherwise manipulate falling blocks.
