I kinda wonder if the Continuity-friendly configuration would still work.
I even upgraded, last year, the internal wireless and bluetooth modules so that I could have 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4 support to get handoff and continuity support.
It’s been a good run this computer and time to get a new one later this year. Well my 2008 Mac Pro has come to the end of the line if those system requirements for macOS 12 are true. I just want another Mac Mini where I can upgrade the storage and RAM myself (with 4K support this time), but I don't think that will ever happen again. I'm not getting 4K out of it anyway when connected to my Mac Mini, but I don't want to give up the flexibility of this monitor (5 inputs that are very easy to switch between, hard switch for power-off, PIP and 4-up display). I already have a screen that I really like that's significantly larger than 27' (40' 4K). You have to stare at a screen 100% of the time you're using the machine, might as well have a pimpin screen to stare at. I don't know what I'll do, I'll probably end up relying on some cloud service for iOS development instead of buying a new Mac (Xamarin has something to build in the cloud, but I haven't found anything for native development, or for React Native). It's a shame, as Apple doesn't currently make a desktop that's a suitable replacement (and I don't like current Apple laptops).
